Baagi Technology (Pty) Ltd (“Baagi”, “we” or “us”) explains in this policy how we collect and use personal information when you contact us through baagitech.co.za or submit a Baagi campaign enquiry. This policy is intended for website visitors and prospective clients. A separate client agreement may govern information processed while delivering a service to a client.
1. Information we collect
The contact form on our website asks for your first name, last name, email address, subject and message. You may also provide a phone number and company or organisation. If you complete a Baagi campaign form on a social or advertising platform, we receive the details and answers you choose to submit. We may retain our correspondence with you and information relevant to the enquiry.
Website and campaign systems may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referring source and interactions with an advert.
2. How we use information
- Respond to enquiries and arrange consultations or requested follow-up.
- Understand your organisation’s needs and prepare proposals for our cybersecurity, IT professional services, data analytics, cloud, software and related solutions.
- Manage our relationships with prospective and existing clients.
- Operate and secure our website and assess campaign performance when relevant tools are enabled.

We do not treat a service enquiry as automatic consent to receive unrelated marketing. We send electronic marketing where permitted under POPIA and provide a means to opt out.

Authorised Baagi personnel and service providers may access information to operate our website, email, lead management, security and campaigns. This may include a campaign agency and the platform on which you submit a lead form. We require providers acting for us to protect the information and use it for the agreed purpose. We may disclose information to professional advisers, regulators or authorities where appropriate or required by law. We do not sell personal information.
6. Transfers outside South Africa
Some technology providers may process information outside South Africa. Where this happens, we will use a transfer permitted by section 72 of POPIA, including an appropriate agreement or other applicable safeguard.
7. Retention
We retain information for the time reasonably needed to handle your enquiry, manage the relationship and meet legal or contractual recordkeeping obligations. We then delete or de-identify it securely, unless continued retention is authorised or required by law. The applicable period depends on the type of record.

9. Your rights
Subject to POPIA, you may ask us to confirm whether we hold information about you, request access, ask us to correct or delete information where applicable, object to processing, or withdraw consent. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when lawfully required.
10. Children and third-party sites
This website and our business advertising are directed at organisations and professionals, not children. Our website may link to other sites and platforms, which have their own privacy practices. Please review their notices when you use them.
